Ongoing consultation and implementation to amplify academic innovation through exemplary unit plans that integrate technology into classroom projects
We provide ongoing services for a Fortune 100 company’s worldwide education initiative, supplying the valuable "real world" educational expertise so the initiative can achieve it's national and international goal of integrating technology in the classroom and curriculum.
The client needed a collection of unit plans as part of a program which emphasizes curriculum development that aligns to standards and promotes higher-order thinking using curriculum-framing questions, authentic project tasks, effective instructional strategies, and performance assessment.
We developed the information architecture and all implementation and supporting materials. The original source material of lesson plans required a complete overhaul and rewrite. We incorporated better instructional examples and uses for technology. Our engineering team also converted the entire collection (200+ units) from a static HTML publishing system, to the client’s CMS.
The program has become a cornerstone resource that continues to be referenced and incorporated into newer aspects of the initiative. The large collection of instructional examples prompted further development of project-based learning resources and tools. The program provides a foundation for good planning and supports teachers in adapting these project-based units or developing their own from scratch.
