Clarity's Content Manager Presenting at NYSCATE

Date

On Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 3:00pm, our Content Manager, Stefanie Hausman, will present Get Active: Reimagining Learning Spaces for Student Success at the 50th Anniversary NYSCATE Conference in Rochester, New York.

The session will explore the concepts, resources, and insights covered in the book, Get Active: Reimagining Learning Spaces for Student Success—published by International Society for Technology in Education ("ISTE"), Intel Education and Steelcase Education— and showcase how schools across the country are discarding the traditional notion of what a “classroom” is and developing a new type of contemporary learning space. Such learning spaces are proven to be more flexible, agile and adaptive and equipped with technology to both personalize and expand conditions for learning.

The New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education ("NYSCATE") is a non-profit organization representing more than 10,000 tech-savvy educators and administrators in New York State. An ISTE affiliate, NYSCATE partners with the New York State Education Department, state and national educational organizations, private sector corporations, and publishers to further the use of technology in schools.

Get Active: Reimagining Learning Spaces for Student Success includes comprehensive research, real-world examples, and exercises for educators and administrators to help better prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st Century. The Get Active NYSCATE workshop will walk attendees through the critical steps necessary to bringing active learning techniques and modern space planning into today’s classrooms, schools and districts.
