Meighan Maloney
Meighan has more than 20 years of experience guiding the development of multi-modal professional development projects for teachers, school psychologists, librarians, nurses, corrections professionals, and others. She has managed the budget, schedule, and personnel for more than $28 million in educational projects, under the auspices of the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, the US Department of Education, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, tribal governments, private foundations and non-profit and corporate clients.
Highlights
She has broad experience coordinating the input of administrators, content advisors, designers, technicians and other stakeholders, ensuring ongoing prioritization and communication. Previously, she served as Series Manager for the Emmy Award-winning PBS series Newton's Apple and as Executive Producer for Educational Media at Oregon Public Broadcasting. While working on Newton’s Apple , Meighan led several of the diversity issues for the program including identifying scientists and engineers from traditionally under-represented groups, and leading the search for a host team featuring on-air talent from communities of color. During her 11-year tenure at Oregon Public Broadcasting, she was awarded the Gold in the Chicago Film Festival for American Passages , a documentary-based classroom curriculum. She has garnered multiple Telly Awards and other laurels for educational video projects, and has been named as a co-Principal Investigator on projects funded by the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health and the US Department of Education.
