John is truly a software engineer’s software engineer, with over a decade’s worth of invaluable experience with content management systems and open-source software communities: specifically Drupal. John’s focus has been with database applications and back-end development, and maintaining and migrating legacy Drupal applications for a wide range of companies large and small.
Previously, John was a customer success engineer at Acquia helping to onboard new customers to their cloud platform, doing website migrations, troubleshooting, and conducting performance analysis. This experience endows John with a rare gift to inspire clients to think creatively about the use of technology, while helping them to learn and take ownership of their website's future.
John has worked at most every stage of a solution’s life cycle—development, deployment, maintenance, enhancement—and has worked on a variety of notable web applications: everything from facilitating Girl Scout cookie sales to managing fire and dispatch reporting systems (i.e., 911) and blood lab testing reports.
John discovered Drupal in 2008 and it was love at first site. Almost immediately, John started his own web development Drupal business, moving all custom code to discrete Drupal modules, and overseeing multiple Drupal migrations.
In his position at Clarity Innovations, John combines his passion for learning and implementing new technology with a keen eye for function to develop and supports the mission critical applications integral to transforming education practices.
