Dana Canaday

Supporting and inspiring teams so that they can support and inspire is no simple feat. But Dana makes it look easy. Dana arrived at Clarity with an extensive background of managing teams and creating content for a virtual “who’s who” of ed-tech companies, including Renaissance Learning, Questar, NWEA, Learn Zillion, Learning.com, Edgenuity, LeapFrog, and Amplify.

Highlights

Prior to joining the Clarity team, Dana managed a team of independent content developers for Questar in the creation of content for English Language Arts assessments and instructional resources. As the English Language Arts Managing Editor at Renaissance Learning, she managed, supported, and grew a team of 14 content developers, editors, and production specialists. Dana also led the charge in instituting multiple, all-day team summits to deep-dive into product and process improvements, professional development, and collaboration. Similarly, she recruited and managed a team of academic experts to help create early literacy and social and emotional learning content for the LeapFrog Learning Path. While there, Dana implemented a customer validation research to enable her team to interact with classroom educators and better inform the quality of their work. In what little free time she has, Dana is a volunteer ESL teacher for the Portland Literacy Council.
