No matter how robust an ed-tech tool may be, if it doesn’t support learning in the trenches (that is to say, in the classroom) then it’s useless. Thank goodness for Clarity’s assurer of maximum technical quality, A.J. McGladdery.

A.J. boasts years of experience innovating technological solutions to real-world education challenges: fueled by a keen interest in learning strategies and a deep empathy with today’s educators. This empathy and expertise spring from a decade spent as an educator in a variety of preK-higher ed classrooms and as an educator and education technology coordinator for the Zayed University in Dubai. Prior to his work overseas, A.J. was an English language instructor at San Diego State University.

Highlights

A.J. created an online learning portal—the Zayed University Academic Bridge— using Wordpress, HTML, and CSS to better prepare students for academic success. He also developed Howl (an Angular application that generated a playlist of upcoming local concerts); a vocabulary-learning app for iOS and Android deployed to over 1,000 students; digitized a series of 28 media-rich eBooks as custom curriculum for over 1,000 students; and launched and managed a bilingual virtual learning center with over 300 hours of learning material using Wordpress CMS.

For Clarity, A.J. develops and tests a variety of applications, tools and experiences: employing a rigorous process to ensure that every solution we deliver delivers when and where it matters most.
