All About Ebooks, Epubs & Digital Magazines

Ebooks are everywhere: in airports, on buses, in cafes, and even in offices. Schools, however, are different. Adoption and use of ebooks by schools has been slow due to the cost of devices and because of confusion over just what an ebook (or an epub) is and how to use them. This session will try to address those concerns and introduce the skills and tools required to create your own ebook for distribution on devices such as Apple’s iPad & iPhone, the Amazon Kindle, and the Sony Reader (as well as using free reading applications for classroom computers). By the end of the session you’ll be well on your way to creating your own ebooks, epubs, and even digital magazines which will excite and engage your students.
