Peggy Grant

Senior Content Developer

Peggy works primarily on educational content for the Web and for online and face-to-face training in project-based-learning and technology integration. In addition to creating written content, Peggy has conducted numerous state, regional, national, and international presentations and workshops on literacy, assessment, higher-order thinking, and 21st century skills. She has also developed and facilitated long-term professional development for classroom teachers in urban, rural, and suburban school environments.

Highlights

After twenty-one years as an award-winning junior high English and reading teacher, Peggy left the classroom to pursue a PhD in literacy education, and then moved to the Chicago area where she taught at Purdue University Calumet for seven years and then worked as a literacy consultant with Learning Point Associates.
Peggy believes that projects that incorporate technology provide opportunities for students to engage in higher-order thinking and in-depth application of content to real world situations as they develop skills in self-direction and collaboration.

Education

Peggy received a Doctorate degree in Literacy Education from Washington State University.
