Educational Systemics

Web Application Development and Strategic Design
Educational Systemics works to create systemic change from within the educational software industry and contracted with us to bring our blended expertise to bear on a project with a client seeking to launch an online version of their print offerings. We designed and engineered a Web application with an information architecture that would facilitate easy migration to deployment on mobile devices in the future.
Major K12 curriculum publisher
Strategic Product Development
What started out as a series of conversations about emerging technologies, quickly evolved into a discussion about how to incorporate digital publishing workflow and Web 2.0 tools into future editions of their curriculum. Recognizing that something more than a static PDF is the goal, the curriculum publisher turned to us for architecting what a digital solution could look like. We envisioned a solution that makes their curriculum and supporting materials accessible and engaging for multiple purposes, while making it easy enough for teachers to integrate it into their instructional practices every day.
eNetColorado
Web Application and Content Development
eNetColorado provides one-stop-shopping for Colorado educators and school administrators looking for professional development offerings, resources and materials about the effective use of technology in teaching and learning. eNetColorado hired Clarity Innovations to help overhaul their blended-learning pilot course, which was based on the Intel Teach Elements Project-Based Approaches self-paced elearning course. Clarity’s firsthand knowledge of the materials and pedagogy of the Intel Teach Elements and our technical acumen were why eNetColorado chose Clarity to help expand the blended-learning program to serve as a national model for others.
Centro Latino Literacy
Web Application and Content Development
Three years ago, Centro Latino Literacy built an online version of their popular classroom curriculum that teaches adult Spanish speakers basic literacy and vital skills to achieve their goals and create a healthier society. While the online version was sufficient in most regards, several improvements and refinements became necessary. Centro Latino chose Clarity Innovations to remodel their online course because of our understanding of online learning theory and familiarity with the Moodle platform for custom elearning solutions like theirs.
Salem-Keizer Public Schools
Strategy Expertise
Recognizing the role of instructional technology in achieving its strategic goals, Salem-Keizer Public Schools initiated a search for an experienced facilitator with a profound understanding of instructional technology to assist with an evaluation and planning process at the district level. Clarity Innovations was chosen for its background and expertise in the field and experience working with other large school districts facing similar challenges.
Our work with Salem-Keizer will inform (among other things), how the district will evaluate and incorporate new technologies to support teaching and learning, and what actions the district will take to foster a culture of technology enriched instructional practice.
Industry Leading Informal Student Learning Company
Content Development
To serve as a bridge between and within their services, our client desired to incorporate an instructional taxonomy of common topics, concepts, and methods used in the subject areas of mathematics, science, language arts, history, engineering, social sciences, and business taught in grades 11 - 14. Our background in curriculum development, instructional methods and texts, and specifically, the content areas to be addressed, made Clarity the best choice.
We built a complete taxonomy of over 3,000 possible terms from which a subset of terms was chosen. We then assigned content areas to subject matter experts on our team to write definitions and created supporting illustrations where necessary.
