Every so often, the team at Clarity Innovations invites our extended network folks in the neighborhood of Portland, Oregon to come join us for an afternoon beer at the end of the week to wax philosophical about topics relevant to education and technology. Each year the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) brings together education leaders and policy makers to discuss and debate best practices for managing technology in education. (This year's event takes place in Austin immediately prior to SXSW, making it incredibly convenient for attending.) Thor Prichard from Clarity will be attending and asking the obvious questions about the instructional opportunity with mobile devices that also happen to be cell phones.

As a member of the Northwest Education Cluster, Clarity Innovations is participating in a roundtable discussion on Building a 21st Century Education System for Oregon at the seventh annual event being held at the Oregon Convention Center on December 11th.
The Oregon Leadership Summit is an annual gathering of business and government leaders to discuss strategies for making Oregon a leader in the global marketplace.

Every so often, our work with clients takes us to far away places. This time it's Costa Rica, where Peggy Grant will be giving the keynote presentation to a group of English language educators and curriculum advisors. Hosted by the Ministry of Education and the University of Costa Rica, with support from the Intel Education group, Peggy will be conducting three workshops about assessing 21st century skills in a project-based English language classroom in early December.Read more...

With more of our work being designed and developed for online learning environments, along with the convergence of the workflows to communicate in print and digital mediums , we're finding ourselves increasingly reliant upon Adobe's toolset. Several of our team from the Portland office will be taking a field trip to Seattle to attend the National School Board Association’s (NSBA) T+L Conference on Tuesday, October 28th. You're welcome to join us aboard Amtrak's Cascades for the round trip from Portland.
