It's that time of year again: the National Education Computing Conference (NECC)
Join us in Washington, D.C. the week of June 28th attending the National Education Computing Conference (NECC). Find us contributing to the discussion at many of the Web 2.0 related sessions and the discussion on Twitter. Scheduled to attend this year are Steve Burt, Julia Fischer, and Thor Prichard. As has been common practice in years past, we'll post updates about our experiences on the staff blog.
See you at Innotech Oregon 2009
If you're attending Innotech Oregon, let us know and we'll make it a point to meet up and say hello. Now in its sixth year, Innotech Oregon brings together nearly 2,000 business and technology professionals to share ideas, strategies, trends and analysis. This year, Malcolm Heath will be onsite for the NW ISSA Security Conference taking place in conjunction with Innotech Oregon. The event is April 23, 2009 at the Oregon Convention Center.
Find the team at WebVisions 2009
Look for the gang at WebVisions, a conference that explores the future of design, content creation, user experience and business strategy. We'll be there to uncover trends and agents of change that force everyone to rethink their assumptions about the Web. While there, we'll be hosting an informal meetup of educational technology enthusiasts to discuss how the ideas presented apply to K12 education (details to follow). WebVisions takes place May 21-22, 2009 at the Oregon Convention Center and is generally considered by locals as "the creative conference for the Web."
April Ed-Tech Beer Meetup
Every so often, the team at Clarity Innovations invites our extended network folks in the neighborhood of Portland, Oregon to come join us for an afternoon beer at the end of the week to wax philosophical about topics relevant to education and technology. The next opportunity to join us will be Friday, April 3rd at the Produce Row Café. We'll start gathering around 4:30pm. We hope to see you there!
Making new connections: First year at SXSW
The nexus of technology and education shares much in common with another crossroad: technology and creativity. Intersections like these are what South by Southwest (SXSW) is all about. And this year, we're sending our intrepid reporter/representive/guinea pig to collect research, make contacts, and gain more perspective on what's ahead. So if you're attending, or just interested in learning what comes from it, here's how you can get in touch with Thor Prichard, while he explores all things SXSW...
