Peggy Grant

Content Developer

Peggy is a content developer for Clarity Innovations, working primarily on educational content for the Web and for online and face-to-face training in project-based-learning and technology integration. In addition to creating written content, Peggy has conducted numerous state, regional, national, and international presentations and workshops on literacy, assessment, higher-order thinking, and 21st century skills. She has also developed and facilitated long-term professional development for classroom teachers in urban, rural, and suburban school environments.

After twenty-one years as an award-winning junior high English and reading teacher, Peggy left the classroom to pursue a PhD in literacy education at Washington State University. After receiving her degree she moved to the Chicago area where she taught at Purdue University Calumet for seven years and then worked as a literacy consultant with Learning Point Associates.

Peggy believes that projects that incorporate technology provide opportunities for students to engage in higher-order thinking and in-depth application of content to real world situations as they develop skills in self-direction and collaboration.
