Mary Millhollon

Mary is a full-time writer and expert-level Microsoft Office and Internet specialist. She grew up surrounded by science, technology, and education (being a close relative of engineers and educators) and has more than a decade of electronic and print publishing and design experience, including hands-on experience in the book, animation, magazine, newspaper, courseware, educational, advertising/marketing, and Web publishing industries.

Mary is a writer, screenwriter, content developer, Web designer, editor, desktop publisher, occasional instructor, project manager, and Internet expert, working daily (and nightly) with desktop applications and online technologies. As a content developer for Clarity, Mary focuses on bringing her wealth of technical and application-level understanding to the instructional materials that our clients need.

Mary’s educational background is a blend of English, journalism, communications, art, and computer science, which lends itself well to today’s constantly morphing information technology. Most recently, Mary wrote Easy Web Design, 3rd editionMicrosoft Word 2007 Inside Out (Microsoft Press), contributes to Intel® Education programs, and creates interactive lesson for Learning.com. Her other publications include cross-curriculum education screenwriting for K-12 audiences (including clients such as DMiller Studios and Learning.com), Microsoft Word Version 2003 Inside Out (Microsoft Press), PowerPoint and Word SparkCharts(Barnes & Noble), and a collection of other computer-related and instructional books about Microsoft Office applications, Internet browsers, HTML (beginner and advanced), online communities, Web graphics, online auctions, and other desktop, Internet, network, application, education, and design topics.
