Lisa Fisher

Instructional Designer

Lisa is a content developer with a background in early childhood education and educational technology. After completing her undergraduate education in Portland, Lisa moved to New York City and worked as a school Technology Coordinator while completing her Master’s program at Columbia University. She earned a graduate degree in Instructional Technology and played an integral role in the development of software that incorporated best teaching practices and educational theory while engaging students in hands-on learning opportunities with computers.

Lisa spent ten years putting her theories into practice as a Kindergarten Teacher and Early Childhood Specialist. Her work on project-based learning curriculum and classroom technology integration led to a job opportunity as a content developer for Clarity Innovations. Lisa’s educational philosophy is closely tied to her work, as she strives to develop curriculum and teaching tools that empower students to think creatively, solve problems, and apply knowledge using higher-order thinking skills.

Lisa holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Portland, with endorsements in Special Education and English as a Second Language, and a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Columbia University.
