Jim Pollard

Educational Technology Research Analyst

Jim has extensive experience in educational software development, educational research and program evaluation. While he has directed countless projects using each of these skills, his most valuable strength is in combining the three areas. In his recent work with Intel he created a series of applications called the Thinking Tools that use findings from cognitive research to help teachers develop critical thinkers.

Jim PollardBefore coming to Clarity Innovations Jim worked for the Intel Corporation K-12 Education Group, Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory (now known as Education Northwest), and the Nevada Department of Education. He has contracted for software design with Apple, Oregon Health Sciences University, and Oregon State University among others. His doctorate is in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada and he can wiggle his ears.
