Wave Hello to the Future
Judi Yost | June 7, 2009Every once in awhile, you recognize--or at least consider--that something new could have significant impact on how we will live in the future. I remember the first time I saw Web addresses included on TV ads--several in one evening. I thought, "Wow, this Internet thing is going mainstream." I didn't have the foresight to really see how the Internet would change how we do business--or that in the future, I would buy 75% of my family's non-grocery items online or through online resources, but I had a sense that the Internet just might change the way we do things. Are you up to date on the Swine Flu?

Current statistics indicate 4,694 cases of H1N1 (or the "swine flu") have been documented in 30 countries. Three countries have reported deaths: Mexico (48), the United States (3), and Canada (1). Do we really need a new search engine? Apparently, yes.
Judi Yost | April 16, 2009We seem to be on a Google theme on these last few blogs, so it's fitting that by chance I stumbled across a new search engine this week.
You would think that no one would be interested in developing yet another search engine. Who would want to go against Google who now commands 63.5% of Web search? When Google first came out, I was its biggest fan--praised its relevant search results to anyone who would listen. But I have noticed something about Google results lately... It seems more and more, I am clicking links to completely worthless sites that have the right key words, but only include advertisements. Very
